TEXT

Formats a number as text using a format code.

Syntax

=TEXT(value, format_text)

Arguments

• value: The number or date.
• format_text: A format code such as "0.00", "$#,##0" or "mmm d, yyyy".

Example

=TEXT(1234.5, "$#,##0.00") → "$1,234.50"
